Festival Brief
Thailand's largest outdoor electronic music festival needed a sound system capable of delivering club-quality audio to 15,000 attendees across a 120-metre fan-shaped field — in 35 °C heat with humidity approaching 90 %.
The Challenge
Heat and humidity are the enemies of conventional box speakers. Alpha's sealed enclosures and conformal-coated amplifier boards meant zero failures across three days of continuous use.
Deployment
- Main hangs: Alpha A1 × 24 per side (flown, 12 boxes/cluster × 2)
- Outfill: Alpha A2 × 8 per side
- Subwoofer arc: Alpha S218 × 20 (end-fire cardioid array)
- Stage monitors: Alpha P1 × 12 (front wedge)
The result: a flat ±3 dB field from FOH to back row — reviewers called it the clearest outdoor mix in the event's decade-long history.
